OLD SCHOOL, EAST TISTED, HAMPSHIRE

This hedgerow was originally planted around the Village School, using a mixture of native species, grown from seed from neighbouring Rotherfield Park estate. Oak and ash were also planted into the line of the hedgerow.

The site was subsequently sold for housing development, but the hedgerow was retained, and this now forms a refuge and foodsource for local birdlife.
